Young Georgia Authors Competition

What is Young GA Authors?

The Young Georgia Authors (YGA) Writing Competition is a prestigious program that encourages Georgia publuc school students in grades K-12 to develop their writign skills. It aims to foster a love for writing, celebrate student achievements, and recognize excellence in the arts and academics. The competition, sponsored by GLAS and Georgia RESA Network, is a long-standing tradition, engaging Georgia students for over two decades. 

 

What Types of Writing Can You Submit?

  • Personal Narratives      
  • Poetry
  • Short Stories        
  • Essays/Literary Criticism/Analysis
  • Journalism 
  • Any Other Original Student Writing
